Goftam Ghame To Daram Gofta Ghamat Sarayad

This is a line of a poem by Hafez. This poem is one of the most well known love Persian poems.

In Farsi it reads:

  • Goftam Ghame To Daram Gofta Ghamat Sarayad
  • Goftam Ke Mahe Man Sho, Gofta Agar Barayad

In English it reads:

  • I said I long for thee, you said your sorrows will end
  • Be my moon, rise up for me, only if it will ascend

Iran Zamin in‌ Farsi Calligraphy

Iran Zamin is a Persian poem about Iran and the poet’s love for his country. Here is the first line in Farsi calligraphy. It reads:

  • In ‌Farsi: Agar Iran be joz viransara nist, man in viran sara ra doost daram
  • In English: If Iran is ever nothing but ruines, I will love this land of ruin.‌ It basically is about how the poet loves Iran no matter what shape she is in.
