Mayazar Moori Ke Dane Kesh Ast

This is a famous poem by Iranian Poet “Sa’adi”.

The title of the poem in this post is “Mayazar? Moori Ke Daneh? Kesh Ast” in Farsi. The translation would roughly be:

Crush not even the tiny ant that beareth a grain of corn

For she hath life, and sweet life is a boon

I have written the poem in Farsi Nastaligh? (Calligraphy). Feel free to use the image if you want to.

This is by sa’di, not ferdowsi. It even has the name at the end of the poem! Lol.

I know sa’di composed this poem, but why does he, in the first couple of lines, attribute it to Ferdowsi?? would anyone happen to know??

I think he is quoting a sentence or two from Ferdowsi and then continuing with the rest of poem by himself. I could be wrong though.
